This teenager became FIDE master in 10 years. Fahad is only 14 years old and within 10 years he achieved the title of FIDE master in chess. At the age of 8 he became sub-junior champion and at the age of 10 he became junior champion. Making a history in this country, he got the chance to be in the national team at the age of 12 years old. He said “I acquired this passion by playing chess in mobile phone. Then when I saw the news of world championship my passion extended furthermore.” He procured the runners-up title in Youth Chess Championship. He also achieved five gold medals and four silver and bronze medals. Most of the time he has to go abroad to play but his education is not getting hampered. In an interview Fahad’s father Nazrul Islam said, “He needs government’s full support to move forward with his passion.” Chess Grand Master Ziaur Rahman said, “He needs to play more tournament and with the help of an expert’s guidance he can be the world’s best.”
