The US Federal Aviation Administration has reported that by the year 2020, the rate of drones in America will triple and almost 7 million drones will be up in America’s skies. These unmanned aircraft systems are predicted to be the most dynamic growth sector right now. With the new registration rules in place by the FAA in December of last year, it can follow both buyers and users of these drones to collect information. New rules and registration procedures are being chalked up to be added to the present ones. The number of hobby drones is predicted to jump from 1.9millon this year to 4.3 million in 2020, while commercial drones will jump from 600,000 to 2.7million. At present, the record for 2016 is 2.5 million drones, both purchased and used frequently. If that’s not enough to make you slack-jawed I don’t know what is. But why do the American public or companies need these drones on domestic soil? Is it a matter of privacy and security or is it the breaking of these two sacred things?
