A mobile court here on Saturday sentenced two people, including the matchmaker, to seven days’ jail term for arranging marriage of an underage girl at Shakharipota village in Sharsha upazila  on Friday night.
Police said being informed by local people, a mobile court led by Sharsha Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Abdus Salam with the help of police conducted a raid on the house of one Shilpi Begum where arrangements were all set to solemnise the marriage of her immature daughter, who is a student of class VIII.
