A Dhaka University (DU) student was killed as a police requisitioned minibus hit his motorcycle in the city’s Banani area on Monday afternoon.
Ashraful Islam Tapu, 24, was a 2nd year student of the DU Business Studies Faculty. Police said the minibus crashed into the motorcycle near Banani Graveyard around 3:45pm, leaving Ashraful dead on the spot and his co-rider injured. Police took them to Kurmitola General Hospital where doctors declared the DU student dead.
