Kabir Humayun: A Dhaka court yesterday placed noted photographer and Managing Director of Drik Gallery Shahidul Alam on seven-day remand in a case filed against him under Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act.
The court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Asaduzzaman Noor passed the order.
Earlier, DB inspector Arman Ali produced Shahidul before the court with a 10-day remand prayer.
Earlier in the day, Shahidul was shown arrested by law enforcers in a case filed with Ramna Police Station under ICT Act 21 hours after he was picked up from his Dhanmondi residence for interrogation over his Facebook posts on the ongoing student protest demanding safety on roads.
