On the occasion of the upcoming Prabarana Purnima of Buddhists, DOs of rice were distributed to the officials of various Viharas in Bandarban.
This DO was distributed in the hall room of Sadar Upazila Parishad under the chairmanship of Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Umme Habiba Meera in the presence of the Minister of Hills Bir Bahadur Ushaisingh MP as the chief guest in the afternoon of Thursday 26th October. A total of 73 metric tons of rice was distributed to the responsible Buddhist monks and directors of 146 Buddhist Viharas of Bandarban Sadar Upazila. Municipal Mayor Md. Samsul Islam, Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Shah Alam, Vice Chairman Yaisa Pru Marma, Sadar Upazila Land Officer Nargis Sultana, various Union Parishad Chairman and Buddhist monks and directors in charge of various Buddhist Vihars participated in the ceremony of DO distribution of rice in various Bihars. was present
