[5] Satkhira: Our Satkhira correspondent Md. Asaduzzaman reported siciting the district fisheries department that, more damage has been done in Asashuni and Shyamnagar upazilas of the district. Two thousand fish cages of 950 hectares of land have been washed away in Padmapukur, Gabura, Kaikhali, Nurnagar and Burigoalini Unions of Shyamnagar Upazila. The amount of loss is 30 crore Taka. On the other hand, 2,560 fish ponds of 1,450 hectares of land in Pratapnagar, Sriula, Asashuni Sadar, Baradal and Khajra Union of Asashuni Upazila have been washed away. The amount of loss is 4 crore 23 lakh Taka.
[6] Khulna: The saline water of tidal waves caused by Cyclone Yaas has washed away 7,094 fish farms including shrimp hatcheries in Khulna, causing a loss of Tk8.43 crore to the farm owners, said Khulna District Fisheries Officer Abu Sayeed. According to Sayeed, fish farms on 1,545 hectares of land in 24 unions of coastal Koira, Dakop, Paikgachha, Batiaghata and Dumuria upazilas of Khulna have been damaged by the tidal wave caused by cyclone Yaas on Wednesday, reports The Business Standard.
[7] Patuakhali: Patuakhali District Fisheries Officer Mollah Emdadullah said 7,085 fish ponds were damaged by the high tide. The loss amounts to fifty-five corer taka, reportes our Patuakhali correspondent Prince Mujahid.
