A newborn girl was declared dead by a doctor at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Friday morning, but later was found alive just minutes before her burial at the graveyard, reported banglanews24.com, Bangladesh Pratidin.
Terming incident as miraculous, Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Director Brig Gen AKM Nasir Uddin said that issuing death certificate in this case was regrettable. “Action will be taken if anybody is found to be negligent in the incident,” said the DMCH Director while talking to the reporters at his office yesterday.
“We have formed a four-member probe committee. However, the newborn baby was not crying or making any movement. The doctors did not gear any heart beat. Later, the doctors put her with oxygen and death certificate was issued. Later, the father took her to the grave for burial,” said the DMCH Director.
“The baby is now admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She has improved. She was less than a kilo,” said he.
