[2] Bangladesh Competition Commission has written to DCs across the country to find out the amount of potatoes stored in cold storages across the country. Legal action will be taken only if additional potatoes are found in any cold storage. On Tuesday (October 27), the Bangladesh Competition Commission sent a letter to DCs across the country, reports Bangla News 24.com.
[3] Within two days of receiving the letter, the concerned district has been asked to provide information on the quantity of potatoes in stock. Another year, a cold storage might have stored 100 tons of potatoes. This time, if the same cold storage stores 200 tons of potatoes, the commission will take legal action against it.
Bangladesh Competition Commission Chairperson Md. Mofizul Islam DCs have been sent letters to find out how much potatoes are stored in godowns across the country. DCs will provide information on potato stocks in the respective districts within 48 hours of receiving the letter. If there is a syndicate regarding potatoes, we will take action according to the law.
