Criminals will not be exempted in any way Deputy Commissioner – Shah Mojahid Uddin

Ashim Roy (Ashwini), Bandarban Correspondent:
There is some difference in land management in the three districts of Chittagong Hill Tracts compared to the plains. However, Bandarban Deputy Commissioner Shah Mojahid Uddin has warned that criminals will not be exempted in any way if anyone is involved in the charter business for buying and selling land.
He made this comment in the speech of the chief guest at the opening ceremony and public awareness meeting organized by the district administration and Sadar Upazila Land Office in the meeting room of Bandarban Sadar Upazila Parishad on June 8.
At this time, the Deputy Commissioner said that the theme of this year’s Land Service Week is ‘Smart Land Service, Smart Citizen’.
Soon, land management will be brought under smart land management through digital survey in hill district Bandarban. Still Bandarban’s land data is in analog format and the data will be digitized after accurate measurement.
Mojahid Uddin urged the headmen, carbaris and chairmen to be more aware and submit all the necessary documents to the land office carefully so that no one admits to cheating by buying and selling land in the hilly areas.
He said that strict action will be taken against anyone who submits fake documents in the purchase and sale of land and if there is evidence that someone from the land office is involved with it.
District Administration Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) SM Mananjurul Haque, Senior Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Nargis Sultana, Chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad Abdul Quddus along with the chairman of various unions of Sadar Upazila, Headman, Karbari and land office officials were present on the occasion.
This Bhoomi Seva Week which started yesterday from June 8 will continue till June 14.
