DOT Desk: [2] Barishal district administration has allotted seven hotels for the accommodation of doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers of Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) to prevent the spread of coronavirus. A total of 98 doctors and over 150 nurses, technologists and ward boys are getting the facilities, said Dr Sudip Halder, president of indoor doctors’ association of SBMCH. The hotels include Hotel Grand Park, Hotel Sedona, Hotel Arena, Hotel Ali, Hotel Eastern, Hotel Athena and Hotel Rodela, he said, reports The Daily Star.
[3] Barishal Deputy Commissioner SM Ajior Rahman yesterday took the decision as some doctors of SBMCH posted Facebook statuses over their accommodation problems on Thursday, our Barishal correspondent reports, quoting Sudip. Besides, if the doctors, nurses and other healthcare staff return to their homes after performing duties at the hospital, coronavirus might spread, said the association president.
