A tribunal here on Monday framed charges against Shahadat Hossain, a suspended national cricket team player, and his wife Nitto in a case filed for allegedly torturing their 11-year-old domestic help. Judge of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-5 Tanzina Ismail framed the charges and passed to order for starting the trial of the case from March 20. Earlier on February 4, the tribunal accepted the chargesheet against the couple and fixed (February 22) for framing charges. On December 29 last year, police submitted the chargesheet against Shahadat and Nitto in the case. Mohammad Shafiqur Rahman, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Mirpur Model Police Station, submitted the chargesheet to the general recording office of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court.
