Kapoor and Sons: Scheduled to be aired on March 18th, Kapoor and Sons is an upcoming light-hearted comedy romance film starring Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan as the lead characters. The story is a bit similar to Mere Brother Ki Dulhaan, and unfolds a man and his brother who fall for the same girl when they go to visit their parents and family in their hometown, Coonoor India. Directed by Shakun Batra and produced under Dharma Productions, the movie is expected to bring us some laughs with a blithe story and fresh new faces.
Ki & Ka: Starring Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Jaya Bachchan, and Amitabh Bachchan as the leading roles, Ki & Ka is an upcoming Indian romantic-comedy drama film written, directed and produced by R. Balki. The movie’s story revolves around a young, married couple and the realization of gender’s role placed upon men and women in the Indian society that is challenged by the couple’s relationship. Scheduled to be released in April, the story is expected to hit the blockbuster with a fantastic storyline and a socially driven plot.
Airlift: Based in Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait war, Airlift is an Indian war thriller film released in January 2016 directed by Raja Krishna Menon. Nimrat Kaur and Akshay Kumar will be playing the leading roles in the movie and the story unfolds with the whole incident of the war portrayed in an expanded scenario. Akshay Kumar and Purab Kohli had to learn Arabic for their respective roles in the movie and it is said that Akshay didn’t take any money at all for his role, but instead invested thoroughly in the big profit that he believes the movie is going to make. His utter confidence is surely enough to give us some high hopes for the film.
Rock On 2: After the first musical hit with the brilliantly performed songs, Rock On 2 is expected to bring more fresh melody and twisted drama. Starring Farhan Akhter, Arjun Rampal, Prachi Desai and Purab Kohli as the lead actors, the film is going to be released in November 2016. However, Shraddha Kapoor will be added to the old franchise and will be sharing screen space opposite to Farhan Akhtar. The film is directed by Shujaat Saudagar, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani and the music is produced by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
Udhta Panjaab: Udhta Panjaab has been one of the most awaited films of 2016, where Kareena and Shahid Kapoor will be seen in one plot after many years, even if not in one frame directly. It is an Indian neo-noir drama thriller film produced under Phantom Films and Balaji Motion Pictures. The story revolves around drug issues where Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be playing in the lead. The film is directed by Abhishek Chaubey and though the release date has not been finalized yet, the thriller is expected to be aired this June.
