Kabir Humayun: BNP standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury was sued under the ICT and Special Power Acts after a phone conversation allegedly between Khasru and a BNP activist over the ongoing students’ movement for safe roads was leaked.
Jakaria Dastagir, acting general secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Chattogram city unit, filed the case with Kotwali police station around 11:30 pm on Saturday night, reports Banglanews24.com.
Charges of hatching conspiracy against the state using electronic device and plotting subversive activities were brought against Amir Khasru and his unidentified accomplices in the case, said Kotwali police station officer-in-charge (OC) Mohammad Mohsin.
Earlier on Saturday, a reported audio clip of Amir Khasru’s telephonic conversation over instigating the ongoing student movement went viral on Facebook and YouTube.
