BGB Director General Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, OSP, BSP, SUP, NDC, PSC, M Phil (Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, OSP, BSP, SUP, ndc, psc, M Phil) said, BGB is always active to deal with any situation arising at the border. . The Director General of BGB today morning on February 07 in charge of BGB’s Cox’s Bazar Battalion (34 BGB) visited Tumbru and Ghumdhum borders of Naikxyongchari Upazila of Bandarban and adjacent BOP. During the visit, the BGB Director General inquired about the BGB members of all ranks on duty at the border andDiscussed with them. At the same time, he ordered everyone to perform their duties with utmost professionalism to protect the sovereignty of the motherland and to be always active in dealing with any situation arising at the border. Later, the Director General of BGB inquired about all the members of Border Guard Police (BGP), Myanmar Army, Immigration personnel, Police and other organizations who crossed the border and took refuge in Bangladesh to save their lives due to the ongoing conflict in Myanmar’s Rakhine State and arrived injured andVisit the BGP members who are undergoing treatment in the hospital. Later, during an exchange of views with journalists, the BGB Director General said that the border situation is completely under the control of the BGB. We are trying our best to deal with the situation by following the instructions of the honorable Prime Minister, being patient, humane and maintaining good international relations. Whatever the situation,No one else will be allowed to enter Bangladesh illegally. He also expressed his firm belief that BGB is ready to make maximum sacrifices to deal with any situation arising on the border to protect the sovereignty of the motherland.
During the visit BGB Director General along with senior officials of BGB Headquarters, Cox’s Bazar Region Commander, Ramu Sector Commander and Cox’s Bazar Battalion Captain were present. It is to be noted that 264 members of Myanmar Border Guard Force (BGP), Myanmar Army, Police, Immigration personnel and other organizations have entered Bangladesh so far due to the ongoing conflict inside Myanmar.
