The body of Bangladeshis peacekeeper Ashraful Islam, who died of cardiac arrest while serving under the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Congo, will be brought back home on Saturday morning.
Senior police officers will receive the body which will arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 8am, said sources at the Police Headquarters.
Constable Ashraful Islam, who joined Bangladesh Police in 1999, felt sick while on duty and he was taken to a hospital of neighbouring country Uganda where he died on Tuesday morning at the age of 37.
A namaz-e-janaza of Ashraful will be held at Rajarbagh Police Lines mosque at 11 am on Saturday.
Hailing from Tikari village of Jhenidah, Ashraful is survived by wife and a two-year-old daughter.
He had been working at the Rab headquarters before going to the peacekeeping mission in Congo.
