[2] In 2019, the Special Olympics was held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. On this occasion, a mini football event was organized in 2018 with 30 countries, reports Jugantor. [3] The champion was also the Bangladesh team that met the legendary footballer Diego Maradona. At that time, Bangladeshi footballers practiced on the field of Fujairah Club. [4] The World Cup-winning Argentine captain spent more than ten minutes with the Bangladeshi footballers.[5] He also took many pictures with the players spontaneously. Posting pictures of the day, Maradona wrote, “With friends from the Bangladesh delegation who will participate in the 2019 Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi. They were invited to practice with us at Al Fujairah Club. Sport is a wonderful thing. Because beyond everything it brings us closer and together. Kiss for everyone. Especially those who try to cross their own boundaries every day.” [6] The memory of getting close to Maradona is still glistening in the mind of the Unified team coach Abdur Razzak.
Even though there are so many countries in the tournament, Maradona came only to meet the footballers of Bangladesh.

[7] While saying goodbye, Maradona told that he will be happy if Bangladesh becomes the champion.
