Bangabandhu Satelite-1 will be launched in April. Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will participate in the launching inauguration via video conference. Also, the whole ceremony will be telecasted on the tele & social media with subtitles of multiple languages. Also, Fireworks celebrations will be arranged by the government, all over the country. Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Chairman Dr. Shahjahan Mahmud said these during an interview with the Amader Orthoneeti. Previously, the authority had plan to launch the satellite on last 16th December. Unfortunately, the launching company Thales Alenia Space (France) did not have any rocket available then, he informed. Still, the estimated budget not only did increase, but also the authority was able to save about 200 crores taka from this grand 3,000 crores taka project, he added.
