[2] Of these, Bangladesh has listed 12 yaba traders in the country, including 36 factories. The Department of Narcotics Control has requested the country to take immediate action with that list. Myanmar, however, has assured Bangladesh that they will take action against the factory. [3] According to a source in the Department of Narcotics Control, the names and addresses of 36 of the 48 yaba factories in the Myanmar border area of Bangladesh have been given in writing to the Myanmar Drug Enforcement Division (DED). It is known that 16 types of yaba are smuggled to Bangladesh from these factories.
[4] The source said the factories are located in Rakhine, Maungdaw and Shan areas of Myanmar. The factories are run by various separatist organizations and drug traffickers in Myanmar. Among them are 10 yaba factories belonging to the Kachin Defense Army (KDI), an armed separatist rebel group in Myanmar.
In the Kukhai-controlled area of the force, there are two border areas under the Pansai Kheo Meo Young Moulian group, one in the Kunlong area under the Ho Special Police J Holi Tract Group, one in the Barricade Tangian Group No. 1 under the Mong Millita Shan State Army (North), and one in the Shang Tangian area. The Nationalities People’s Liberation (SNPL) group has two cars in the Namjang area, two in the same group in the Mahaja and Homong areas, three in the United Ui State Army (UWSA) group in the Monton area, two more in the same group in the Mansat area and three in the Tachilek area, four in the Mongyang area. The group also has two more factories in the Pangsang area.
