DOT Desk: The ruling Awami League nominated a well-educated, honest, qualified and skilled person for the post of the country’s president, the party’s General Secretary Obaidul Quader said yesterday,reports The Daily Star.

On behalf of Awami League, Obaidul Quader thanked Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal after he declared Mohammed Shahabuddin, a retired judge and former commissioner of Anti-Corruption Commission, president-elect of Bangladesh earlier yesterday.
He also thanked the CEC for conducting the whole process in a “fair and beautiful manner”.”We got the announcement of presidential election after scrutiny. A copy has also been given to us,” the AL leader said
