Dr Salehuddin Ahmed
The middle class are always educated and becomes entrepreneurs. The middle class is a driving force due to its skill and organized capacity. They can
contribute greatly.
We are witnessing economic development in the country. The affluent class is concentrating wea-lth for which the middle class is being deprived.
There many smart and intelligent people in the middle class. However, they are being deprived of various government facilities. Why are they being deprived of?
One may be deprived of various government and non-government facilities if he or she does not have any political connection, belong to any social organization or any pressure group. The lower-middle class is not well. Their income has dropped. The affluent class remains very close to the society, politics and administration and can influence the government. Businesspeople, exporters and our
lawmakers hail from the affluent class. The lower class people are tools in the hands of politicians, they are brought to the rallies for chanting slogans. Most votes are cast by them during elections. The affluent and middle classes have their voices. But the voice of the middle class is not so strong. As a result, the government does not want to take them into account.
