Kabir Humayun: Actr-ess Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) yesterday afternoon after she fell ill.
Nawshaba , who is on remand in a case filed under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act, was admitted to DMCH around 3:30pm as she was feeling ill, DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) Masudur Rahman told The Daily Star.
Doctors at the hospital said the actress was suffering from dysentery and sent her to a diagnostics centre for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan.
On August 4, Nawshaba was detained from her Uttara residence for allegedly spreading rumours on social media about the student protests for safe roads.
Police said she did so to create anarchy and confuse people.
She was placed on a four-day remand the next day after police placed her before the court with a seven-day remand prayer.
On August 10, a Dhaka court again granted a fresh two-day remand for Nawshaba.
