A Bangladeshi Went to Israel & Claimed to Be Stateless Jewish on the Jerusalem Post
A Bangladeshi named, Sadman Zaman (25) went Israel on February. Sadman failed to reenter Bangladesh after this & returned back to Israeli. With helps from a team of British-Irish delegates, on 22 November. Also, Sadman gave a strong & descriptive long interview to the biggest Israeli media, the Jerusalem Post. He firmly claimed himself to be a ‘Stateless’ Jewish.During his interview, Sadman specially mentioned about the national loathing & prejudices against the Jewish people in Bangladesh. That, even the text books teaches everyone that, Jews are the incarnate of Satan & has taken control of the world. Despite of all these hatred, he was raised to be generous & non-sectarian person in his family, Sadman claims. Sadman talked about, how his life turned around when read the book ‘The Case for Israel’ by Alan Dershowitz, at the age of 12. Since then, he acquired an unquenchable thirst to know more about the Jewish people. His grandfather often smuggled Judaism books for him, to Bangladesh. On the deathbed, his grandfather wished him to travel to Israel & Sadman laid his first steps onto Israel wearing his grandfather’s shoes. It is specifically written on the Bangladesh Passport that, its holder is not allowed to travel to Israel. Hence, Sadman is the first Bangladeshi to travel to Israel with Bangladeshi passport. Sadman’s grandfather believed that, Israel has all the rights to exist as a country. Israel was also born from the intense desire of its people, just as Bangladesh was born because of Bangladeshis. Israel was the first country to acknowledge Bangladesh as an independent country. Still, these countries had not developed good relationship yet. He blames the influences from Saudi Arabia, on Bangladesh. Sadman promises to continue on working for establishing a relation between Israel & Bangladesh.
