BSS: On behalf of the United Nations Development Programmes (UNDP), Bangladesh, 85 environment workers of Rajshahi City orporation (RCC) were given protective equipment.
The equipment included one vest, one box mask and one pear gloves and rubberboot shoes. RCC and UNDP authorities jointly distributed the protective equipment at the city bhaban conference hall today.
Acting Project Manager of the UNDP, Bangladesh Apurba Sati Mahbub, RCC Environment Development Officer Syed Mahmud Ul Islam, Relief and Disaster Management Officer Zubayer Hossain and Programme Management Support Officer Abu Mehedi Al Mahmud were present at the distribution ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Syed Mahmud Ul Islam said the Rajshahi city has attained the fame of turning into green, clean and healthy by the relentless efforts of Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton. As recognition of the fame, the city got multiple national awards, he added.
