DB identified 7 militants who are accused of murdering Avijit Roy, the founder of ‘Muktomona’ blog. 2 of them are his murderers.

Intelligence sources confirmed that all of them are members of ‘Ansarullah Bangla Team’. They also have links with militant organizations like JMB and Huji. They are frequently changing their positions so it is difficult to arrest them but they will soon trap themselves to the intelligence organizations working on the case.

Additional Commissioner Monirul Islam said, “8 suspects have been arrested till now. And we hope the rest of them will be arrested as soon as possible. The FBI took the evidence from the crime scene and agreed to send a report to the Bangladesh government. More than a year passed but still no trace of any evidence from them.”

Avijit was hacked to death by some rogue assassins on 26 February 2015 at TSC during the book fair.
