Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Bir Bikram on Wednesday said that 55,180 additional people have been bought under power connections at Motlab Uttar and Dakhhin upazilas, reports the Financial Express .While inaugurating the construction of 20 kilometre power lines at Narayanpur under Matlab  Dakhhin he said, “We have built 521 kilometres new power lines at Matlab Uttar and Dakhhin upazilas for which 55180 people have got power connections.” “Around 1500 more people brought under power coverage with installing the 20 kilometre power lines”, he added, “The present government has made Bangladesh free from load-shading replacing the darkness due to having frequent load-shading during the tenure of BNP-Jamaat led alliance government.””The country has witnessed massive development during the present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and requested the people to vote for the Awami League in the upcoming general elections to continue the development works.”
