5 women journalists receives award for playing important role and active participation on Breast Cancer Awareness

[2] Bangladesh Breast Cancer Awareness Forum and International Rotary District 3281 jointly organized a discussion on the evaluation and presentation of the month-long Breast Cancer Awareness and Screening Program at the Tafazzal Hossain Manik Mia Auditorium of the National Press Club yesterday. Mansura Hossain, Senior reporter, Prothom Alo; Nadira Kiron, news sditor, ATN Bangla; Shahnaz Poly, joint news editor, Daily Our Time; Shahnaz Sharmeen, special correspomdent,Nagorik Tv; Sebika Debnath, Senior reporter, Daily Bhorer Kagoj received a memorandum of appreciation.[3] Last October, 17 organizations including Bangladesh Breast Cancer Awareness Forum and 41 clubs of Rotary organized a nationwide Breast Cancer Awareness Day and a month-long awareness and free screening program on October 10 for the 9th time.[4] In addition to the expected response and qualitative passage in the screening service, its limitations were analyzed and some recommendations were made in this regard.[5] A memorandum of appreciation was given to 5 women journalists, 3 cancer survivors, 2 organizers and 5 government and non-government organizations for their important role and active participation in this.[6] Dr. Mohammad Habibullah Talukder Raskin, Chief Coordinator of Bangladesh Breast Cancer Awareness Forum presided over the discussion.
National Professor Dr Mahmud Hasan was the chief guest and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Pro-VC Professor Chayef Uddin Ahmed and Rotary District 3261 Governor Barrister Mutasim Billah Farooqui were present as special guests.
[7] Distinguished Gynecologist Prof. Dr. Sabera Khatun and Head Professor of Radiotherapy Department of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital Dr. Swapan Bandopadhyay spoke as panelists.
