 Some 27.47% of the ADP allocation has been earmarked for the transport and communication sector, reports The Business Standard.The second highest allocation has been proposed for the Power and Energy sector, which is 20.45% of the total ADP. The fifth highest proposed allocation goes to the health sector, which is 7.7% of the ADP.
 According to sources, several priority projects in the infrastructure sector have been allocated as per the demand. The implementation of the fast-track project has been slow in the Covid-led lockdown situation. There is also uncertainty over whether the pace of work will increase in the next financial year. For this reason, it has been proposed to allocate Tk39,024 crore for seven fast-track projects under the ADP. TBS
 Meanwhile, increasing incentives rate to 3pc in remittance sector is being considered for nexy fiscal year. At present, if someone sends a remittance of Tk 100, he is given Tk 102.
In the future it may be increased by one taka to 103 taka. The government thinks that this will encourage the expatriates to send more incentives to the country, according to the sources of the Ministry of Finance, reports Noya Diganta.
