 Seven countries of the world including Singapore, UAE, South Korea and Saudi Arabia have expressed their keen interest to invest a huge amount of money in the Bay Terminal, reports Somoy TV.  Against this backdrop, a decision in principle has been taken to give away two jetties to the global partners. All types of mother vessels will be able to take berth in the port.  Apart from acquiring 67 acres of Khas land along Patenga shore, sand is being extracted from the sea and filled in 800 acres of Khas land where the much-awaited Bay Terminal is being set up.  Md Zafar Alam, member of Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) said that global operators will be chosen from countries like Korea, India, Singapore.
