Police arrested two alleged terrorists along with a pistol from Noapara Nurbag area of Abhoynagar upazila on Sunday night.
The arrestees were identified as Babul Sheikh, 26, son of Kashem Sheikh, and Akbar Shikder, son of Liakat Shikder, both residents of Bicchali area of Narail district.
Quoting locals, Sheikh Nasir Uddin, officer-in-charge of Abhoynagar Police Station, said a gang of terrorists attacked a shop of local Jubo-League leader Sujan Patwary in the area around 11am.
Sensing the presence of terrorists, locals surrounded them and informed police.
Later, police arrested the duo along with the pistol and four rounds of bullets from the spot while others managed to flee away.
A case was filed in this connection.
