 Faruqui, Governor of Rotary International District-3281 announced annual programmes for 2021-22 sessions at the VIP Lounge of the National Press Club yesterday.
 He said that the Rotary has undertaken to implement further programmes to combat disasters including Covid-19.
 Governor Faruqui said that the Rotary has so far spent Tk 18,000 crore to eradicate polio worldwide.
 The organization will work towards establishing comfort zones for the students, education, health, sanitation and planting one lakh saplings across the country, alleviating poverty through microcredit.
 From now on, the Rotary will give fellowship to the journalists. It will recognize their work.
 Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, former Information Adviser to the PM and Editor of the Daily Observer, said that ‘change through the services’ has been announced on the golden jubilee of the independence of Bangladesh.
