 The Ministry of Women and Children Affairs is inviting applications for ‘Rokeya Padak-2021’, report Dhaka Post, Jago News.
 Bangladeshi women who have contributions to women’s education, their rights, socio-economic development, literature and rural development are requested to apply for the nominations in the specific form available on the official website, said a notification issued by the ministry yesterday.
 The application forms can be collected from the websites of the Women and Children’s Affairs Ministry and the Department of Women’s Affairs as follows- www.mowca.gov.bd and www.dwa.gov.bd.
 Applications or nomination papers will not be accepted in any of the ‘tables’ other than the prescribed ones, added the notification.
 A printout of the form must be sent to: Secretary, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Bangladesh Secretariat, Dhaka, by 31 July.
 It has been mentioned in the notification that a soft copy of the application can be sent by e-mail to [email protected]
 Begum Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain was the leading feminist writer and social worker during the early 20th century, and is best-known for her efforts for achieving gender equality and women’s education.
