[2] Fire service officials have rescued a man who went missing after falling into a drain in the Kalshi area of Mirpur. Yesterday the 40-year-old man was rescued after a six-hour operation, reports Dainik Amader Shomoy.
[3] The man went missing inside a drain on the Suarez Line at 9am. He was later rescued at 3 pm. Raihan, an official at the fire service headquarters, confirmed the matter. “Doctors have said that he is out of danger.
[4] The authorities could not identify the man as he is speech-impaired. The man had floated to the canal through the drain, said Fire Service and Civil Defence (Zone 2) Deputy Assistant Director Md Abul Bashar, reports Dhaka Tribune.
[5] He was in critical condition at the time of rescue, Bashar said, adding that he was handed over to Pallabi police afterwards.
