 Bangladesh on Sunday closed its border with India for two weeks in view of the sharp increase in the coronavirus cases in the neighbouring country, report Bonk Barta, Sarabangla.
 Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said Bangladesh took the decision in view of the rapid increase of coronavirus infection in India.
 Under such circumstances, several hundred passengers have remained stuck at Benapole of Jashore and Petrapole land port in India. No immigration of the passengers was done in the two countries. However, the goods-laden trucks are moving complying with strict health guidelines.
 Monir Hossain went to Chennai for cardiac treatment with his 10-year-old boy. After completing the operation, he reached Benapole on Monday and faced the lockdown.
 Ahsan Habib, an immigration official at Benapole said that they received no directive to bring back the stranded passengers.
