Police arrested 16 people, all outsiders, along with 20 crude bombs from a house adjacent to a polling centre in Adra union of Barura upazila on Thursday morning.
Officer-in-charge of Muradnagar Police Station Mizanur Rahman said tipped off, a team of police conducted a raid on the house of Najimuddin, uncle of AL-nominated chairman candidate Manjur Hossain Majumder, beside Perpeti polling centre and arrested 16 people around 10:00 am.
