The customs authorities at the airport did not release 58 birds as they have no no-objection certificates.
[5] Around half of the birds died under the custody of the customs authorities due to unfavourable weather conditions.[6] Tabibur Rahman, assistant conservator of forest and in-charge of Safari Park said that a total 35 birds were brought but 5 of them died.
The remaining birds are now in good condition.
