Government has already initiated several renovation projects for the Central Police Hospital (CPH) in Rajarbagh. Bed numbers will be doubled, said CPH Director DIG Lutfar Rahman Mondol. Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has recently approved the proposal of renovating 13 Police hospitals countrywide, at the expense of 180 crores taka. Since, most of these hospitals are not equipped with the treatment facilities for acute respiratory, kidney, diabetes & heart related health complexities. Even there is no ICU or CCU at these hospitals. It is an urgent need of time, to modernize these hospitals, said a hospital nurse. Translated by: Eshan Maitra
