DOT Desk: BNP has decided to reschedule the 32 meetings and rallies of the party which were scheduled to take place within January 22, reports The Daily Star.
The decision came following the spike in coronavirus cases in the country. BNP Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan said this during a press conference in BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office yesterday morning.
Nazrul Islam said, “We have said the restrictions imposed by the government are unreasonable and ineffective. But considering the public interest, we have decided to reschedule the programmes.” “We have said that we have rescheduled the date. We did not say suspended,” he added
Nazrul Islam also called upon the leaders of BNP’s central, metropolitan cities, and districts units and its other wings to continue their preparation for holding meetings and rallies at the rescheduled time.
