DOT Desk :  Vehicular movement on Dhaka-Pabna highway was disrupted for four hours yesterday after locals put barricade at Kashinathpur intersection, protesting an attack on the house of a UP chairman in Pabna’s Bera upazila , reports The Daily Star .
 Chairman of Puran Varenga union parishad, Md Rafikullah, also a freedom fighter, said unidentified criminals attacked his house at Roghunathpur village around 3:30am. They threw several crude bombs and also opened fired but none was hurt, the chairman claimed.
 Hearing the news, locals put barricade on the highway, disrupting traffic movement from 8am to 12pm. They also demonstrated in Nagarbari and Kashinathpur areas, reports our Pabna correspondent. The UP chairman blamed followers of former lawmaker Azizul Haque Arzu for the attack.
