A gang of robbers broke into the ATM booth of a private bank in Sylhet and Bank officials said in the chargesheet that was looted from the ATM booth more than Tk 24.25 lakh, reports Daily Nayadiganta.
 Osmaninagar Police Station OC Shyamal Banik said the incident took place at UCB’s ATM booth in Sherpur Natun Bazar around 4am on Sunday. He said, United Commercial Bank has a branch at Yunus Mansion in Sherpur Natun Bazar and they have an ATM machine on the ground floor. The guard of the ATM booth was tied up and the ATM was broken into and money was looted, reports bdnews24.com.
 Upon receiving the news, Additional DIG Biplob Vijay Talukder of Sylhet Range and other senior police officers visited the area. Syed Ashraful Amin, Sherpur branch manager of United Commercial Bank said We have submitted a complaint to the police station.
 Sylhet District Additional Supervisor of Police Lutfar Rahman said the robbers were wearing masks, so they had to hurry to identify them. Although, many teams from many police units are working to quickly identify and arrest the robbers. They expect to be arrested soon.
