Before leaving the country to play in the series against New Zealand, several players of the Bangladesh national cricket team, including Tamim Iqbal, were vaccinated against coronavirus. The Tiger ODI leader praised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in front of the Kurmitola Hospital in the capital on that day for bringing the countrymen under the vaccine without any delay during the epidemic. In that continuity, this time the country’s player praised the Prime Minister of his country in the New Zealand media as well, reports Channelionline. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s vaccination initiative to prevent the spread of the deadly virus and to protect the people of the country from this deadly virus has gained a reputation not only in the country but also in abroad.
Moreover, the New Zealand Cricket Board and the government of the country (Covid Control Authority-MIQ) are fully aware of the fact that Tamim Iqbal and several others have left the country after taking the vaccine. Maybe that’s why after the 14-day quarantine of Team Bangladesh in Christchurch, the country’s media wanted to know the experience of vaccination from Tamim Iqbal. Tamim also frankly opened up about his experience.
In a video message sent in WhatsApp from New Zealand on Wednesday (March 10) by the Bangladesh Cricket Board, the Tiger ODI captain said, ‘This (vaccine) is the future, I think. Everyone has to take it at some stage. Our country has done a great job as a country. Our Prime Minister has already made all arrangements with a leading role. She has done a great job. We are very fortunate as a nation. The best thing is, it is free for everyone. I am proud of what we have done as a nation, Bangladesh. I took the first dose. Didn’t feel bad, didn’t feel anything. Everything was great’, reports Sarabangla.net.
Team Bangladesh ended the 14-day quarantine of the New Zealand tour at 3 pm local time yesterday. In this quarantine of about half a month, the Bangladesh Border Management Unit (MIQ) is very happy with the discipline of the Bangladesh team and the overall cooperation of the player and team management on the quarantine issue.
