[2] Relatives of the victims of enforced disappearance have alleged that police are putting pressure and harassing them in the name of investigation. Harassment of police at houses of the victims must be stopped, they demanded, reports Daily Observer.
[3] A press conference was organized yesterday at the National Press Club for the families of the missing victims under the banner of ‘Mayer Dak. Meanwhile, the police say, it is just an investigation. Nothing more, reports MZamin.
[4] In a press conference, Nagorik Oikya convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna said, “Police were intimidating the families of the victims of enforced disappearance in various ways by visiting their houses in the name of investigation.
They (relatives of the victims) have already said each of them is being interrogated at their houses.
[5] The DMP says it is the traditional responsibility of the police or law enforcement agencies to provide up-to-date information on complaints of “disappearances” from various national and international organizations at various times and to keep in touch with victims to carry out investigations.
[6] According to the DMP, Mahbub Hasan Sujan went missing in the Sabujbagh police station area. Police contacted his family on January 10. Meanwhile, Mahbub Hasan Sujan’s brother Mohd Shakil Khan presented different information about the whereabouts of his brother which was not mentioned in the earlier GD filed at Sabujbagh police station.
