 Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said that 8,000-9,000 crore Taka will be spent for purchasing Covid-19 vaccines and it will take several thousand crore Taka to administer the vaccines, report Ittefaq, Bangla Tribune.
The Minister further claimed that the inoculation drive will be better in the days to come.
 He made the remarks while inaugurating the One Stop TB Service Centre at 250-beded TB Hospital at Shyamoli in Dhaka yesterday.
 Claiming that Bangladesh is faring well in the inoculation drives, the Health Minister said that Bangladesh does not manufacture vaccines.
“We have procured six crore vaccines from China. In total, 16 crore vaccines will be procured for the people of Bangladesh,” the Minister said.
“We are now administering vaccines to the students and the senior citizens. At the same time, we are giving treatment to the Dengue patients,” said the Minister.
