[2] Vice Chancellor of Rajshahi University Prof Golam Sabbir Sattar said that the question paper leak gangs did not succeed in the admission tests of the university for 2020-21 academic session, reports Amader Shomoy. Prof Sattar made the remarks while inspecting the centre of ‘C’ unit 1st shift exams yesterday.
[3] “This time around the leak gang did not succeed as the Police Commissioner ensured a 4-tier security. The detectives were actively centring the tests,” said the VC.
[4] A total of 31 students vied for each seat in the three-day admission test for first-year honours courses under the 2020-2021 academic session at Rajshahi University (RU).
[5] A total of 127,647 students appeared in the admission tests against
4,191 seats in 59 departments under 12 faculties and two institutes meaning 31 students will vie for each seat this year, RU sources said.
[6] Of those, 44,194 students appeared in the test for the ‘C’ Unit comprising the faculties of science and agriculture held yesterday, while 43,558 students for the ‘A’ unit comprising the faculties of arts, law, social sciences and fine arts and Institute of Education and Research yesterday.
