[2]The police headquarters has banned the sharing of Tiktok-Like videos on the clothes of Bangladesh Police. The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has sent the instructions to various police units. Relevant police sources confirmed the matter on Tuesday. On condition of anonymity, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of the DMP said the video was shared through social media at various times wearing police uniforms, reports Jugantor.
[3]’The issue has been discussed at a meeting of the DMP. Some of the issues discussed in that meeting have been sent to us in the form of instructions. The DMP headquarters has directed that some police members of the DMP are using social media to spread various provocative statements against anti-state and senior officials.
[4]It has been decided to take departmental disciplinary action against the postmaster by identifying him to prevent such activities.’ The directive also asked colleagues in charge of each force to monitor the use of social media. It also said that people should be careful when using police uniforms or uploading any police-related post on Facebook.
Besides, it has been asked to abide by the guideline of using social media of government organizations – 2019.
