 Although 15 months have passed since the detection of coronavirus in the country, the health department has not yet been able to set up testing centers in all the districts. At present, test centers have been set up in 46 districts including RT-PCR laboratories in 30 districts, reports dainikamadershomoy.com.The remaining 18 districts do not have test centers. As a result, the residents of these districts have to go to another district or send their samples to another district for testing. The infection is spreading as patients travel from one district to another with corona symptoms.

 It is known that in the early days of corona infection in the country, the infection spread to several districts including Dhaka metropolis, Narayanganj, Gazipur, Narsingdi, Madaripur, Comilla. At that time, testing centers were set up in the infected districts.
 According to the Department of Health, the number of infections is increasing in Rajshahi, Rangpur and Khulna divisions. Among the eight districts of Rajshahi division, Naogaon and Joypurhat districts do not have RT-PCR labs. The remaining six districts have RT-PCR in Sirajganj, Bogra, Pabna and Rajshahi and GeneExpert testing centers in Chapainawabganj and Natore.
