 India exports 25 crore kgs of tea to different countries of the world after meeting its domestic demand.
 However, the concerned organizations predicted that the export could be 21 crore kgs due to the pandemic, reports Bonik Barta.
 Against this backdrop, the India tea traders want to sign deals with Bangladesh for increasing the export to Bangladesh.The Indian tea traders have already sent a proposal to the central government.
 According to the institutes which forecast import and export, the India tea export may face a big problem in the current year.
 As per the projection in 2021, the tea export will fall by 3-4 crore kgs. The total export will not reach 20 crore kg.
 Under such circumstances, India wants to revive its tea trade and take over the tea market in Bangladesh. The traders have underscored the need for Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA).
