[2] The field workers of the Family Planning Depart-ment demanded a fair salary structure, reports Bangla Tribune.
[3] The field workers under the banner of Bangladesh Family Planning Field Workers’ Association also came up with a four-point demand during a press conference at Dhaka Reporters Unity yesterday.
[4] Zakirunnesa Sumi, general secretary of the association said that 28,000 workers of FPI, FWA were transferred from the revenue sector to the development sector under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina in 1996.
“25 years have already gone by. However, the jobs have not been regularized. There is no recruitment policy,” she deplored.“We have repeatedly gone to the higher authorities.
But we are deprived of our fair facilities due to their reluctance,” she added.
