[2] Instead of closing down the e-commerce enterprises, Bangladesh E-Commerce Customer Association (BECA) has demanded bringing the enterprises within a legal framework, report Prothom Alo, Ajker Patrika, Bangla Tribune. The demand was raised from a human chain programme at Shahbag in the capital yesterday.
[3] The BECA formed the human chain in front of the National Press Club and came up with a seven-point charter of demands.
[4] The demands include reimbursing the same amount of money within 3-4 working days if any e-commerce enterprise fails to deliver goods within a certain time, the customers’ money has to be returned if any e-commerce enterprises close down.
[5] They further demanded that the concerned ministry has to take responsibility if any e-commerce enterprises embezzle customers’ money or fail to deliver services.
