[2]In Bangladesh, there has been a cyber attack on the digital registration system ‘Shuroksha’ app and web portal for taking corona vaccine. Recently, at least 10 countries have carried out simultaneous attacks, reports Prothom Alo.
[3]This caused some disruption in the vaccine registration process. However, the Bangladeshi expert team was able to repel the attack. As a result, hackers failed to capture the information of more than three crore citizens registered in this app, reports Ittefaq.
[3]According to a source in the Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), there have been several cyber attacks since the launch of the ‘Shurokha’ app. Hacking the system and hitting more than the capacity – both of these are attempts to invalidate the registration system.
The biggest attack was on 12 and 13 August. Hackers from Bangladesh, Hungary, Japan, United States, China, Australia, United Kingdom, Malaysia, India and the Philippines have attempted.
